Ceist:49 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Finance if any new staff will be dedicated to the role of developing the performance management and development system; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14287/00]

The introduction of the performance management and development system represents a major programme of work for Departments and offices. Support for the implementation of the new system is available through the change management fund under which appropriate training and other implementation needs will be assisted and additional staff provided on a temporary basis.
