Ceist:

91 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health and Children if, following the recent meetings by his Department with the Irish Council of Psychotherapists, he will include this area of professionals in the forthcoming legislation on the registration of designated health and social professions and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14842/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

Officials of my Department are involved in discussions with the representative bodies of various health professionals with a view to agreeing a scheme of statutory registration. Physiotherapists are included in this group and the representative body has been included in all discussions to date.
