Architectural planning for improved accommodation at Dysart national school is proceeding as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.
411 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application for additional classroom space had been made to his Department for Dalystown national school, County Westmeath; and the projected time scale for the commencement of works. [15288/00]
I can confirm that my Department has received an application from the management authorities of Dalystown national school for grant aid towards additional classroom space. Architectural planning for the project is proceeding as quickly as possible having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.
412 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application for funding for additional science laboratories and other facilities has been received from Loreto College, Mullingar; and if he will give a progress report on this application. [15289/00]
An application for additional accommodation at Loreto College, Mullingar, is progressing through architectural planning. Stage 1, site suitability, has been approved. The design team is now preparing an outline sketch scheme for this project.
413 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if stage three documents for proposed extra science laboratories to St. Mary's College, Mullingar have been lodged in his Department; and if stages four and five for this project can be taken together in order to have this project progress to construction stage. Stage three documents for the proposed extension at St. Mary's CBS, Mullingar, were lodged with my Department and have been approved. The school's managerial authority has been advised that it is in order to combine stages four and five subject to some clarification of the stage three documentation. This clarification has been received and is under consideration in the planning and building unit of my Department at present.
