112 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she can confirm that the new transport authority for Dublin will ensure that franchises will only be awarded to private operators that facilitate wheelchair access; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [14920/00]

The proposed regulatory body will be required to continue with the policy, outlined in the national development plan, that all new buses purchased for urban services must be low floor buses.
