88 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of clerical officer vacancies in his Department in Cavan town; the number of executive officer vacancies and higher executive officer vacancies in the same office; when these vacancies will be filled; and if they will be filled by way of transfer or through open competition through a Civil Service competition. Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development (Mr. Walsh):

There are currently no permanent vacancies at clerical officer or higher executive officer level in my Department's offices in Cavan town.

There is currently one vacancy at executive officer level which has been filled, on a temporary basis, by an officer on higher duty allowance. This post will be filled by an assignment from the Civil Service and Local Appointments Commission.
