94 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will intervene on a person's (details supplied) behalf and have her appointment brought forward in the Beaumont Hospital in view of the circumstances involved; if he will make a favourable decision in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

The responsibility for the provision of services at Beaumont Hospital is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority in the first instance. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him as a matter of urgency.
