107 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when the farm investment schemes, which are funded from the national plan and Structural Fund Measures, will be introduced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16261/00]

On-farm investment measures provided for in the National DevelopD520–D14

ment Plan 2000-2006 will form part of the new regional operational programmes for the Border, Midland and Western Region and the Southern and Eastern Region. The programmes have been submitted to the European Commission for approval. These measures cannot be introduced until the commission give the necessary approval.
