167 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will grant-aid draining and development work for a pitch at a school (details supplied) in County Limerick which is unplayable for most of the year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16230/00]

(Dr. Woods): An application has been received from the managerial authorities of the school to which the Deputy refers for grant aid towards draining and development works of a playing pitch at the school.

My Department is currently considering this application and will be in touch with the school authorities as soon as possible.
