194 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children the vaccination record of a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in St. Patrick's Orphanage, Navan Road, Dublin who resided there from 1952 to 1954; and if vaccination trials were carried out at this institution. [16458/00]
My Department has no records in respect of persons in St. Patrick's Home, Navan Road, Dublin. In addition my Department has no information that vaccination trials were carried out in that institution during that period.
As St. Patrick's Home falls under the aegis of the Eastern Regional Health Authority I have asked the regional chief executive of the authority to establish if the vaccination records in respect of the person named by the Deputy are available and also if vaccines studies-trials were carried out in that institution during the period 1952 to 1954. I have asked for an early reply in the matter and I will contact the Deputy immediately the reply is received.
