In addition to the above, Ministers from my Department attended EU Council meetings – Industry Council, Research Council, Consumer Council, Generals Affairs Council, Internal Market Council, Labour and Social Affairs Council – a Council of Europe meeting in Strasbourg, the annual ILO Conference in Geneva and a Trade Ministers' meeting in Oporto.
The delegations led by Ministers from my Department related to a broad range of trade and promotional activity or arose from the requirements of Ireland's membership of international bodies such as the EU, ILO and the WTO.
