25 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the communications if any, he has received from Waterford City Council regarding an extension of the Waterford city boundary into south Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18795/00]
My Department has had no communication from Waterford Corporation concerning a proposed boundary extension, although I understand moves are under way locally to begin the formulation of a formal boundary proposal. As no application to alter the administrative boundary of Waterford Corporation has been submitted to my Department, I have no role in the matter at present.
