Ceist:

551 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Health and Children the directives issued under the treaties establishing the European Communities of which any provision coming under the auspices of his Department has not yet been transposed into law; if in each case such transposition will be effected by Bill or statutory instrument; if transposition is overdue in any case; if so, the steps, if any, taken by the European Commission by way of enforcement; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table sets out the EU directives which are currently outstanding and have yet to be implemented by my Department through regulation or legislation and the steps taken by the European Commission by way of enforcement. In all cases where the implementation date has passed the drafting of the statutory instrument for transposition is at an advanced stage.
