Vol. 523 No. 2

Written Answers. - Services for People with Disabilities.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

166 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that the case of a severely disabled person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 is examined in detail with a view to ensuring that she receives carer assistance or home help, is fully supported by State agencies and given every aid she needs including payment towards respite care in the circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20833/00]

The provision of health services in the Dublin area is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the chief executive of the authority to examine this case and respond to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
