31 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the steps being taken to combat sexual harassment within the Garda Síochána in view of the findings of the research undertaken by the Employment Research Centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20170/00]
I am informed by the Garda authorities that the commissioner has established a working group under the chairmanship of a Chief Superintendent to examine a range of issues in the area of equality, discrimination, harassment and related matters with a view to expanding on existing policy.
It is expected that the report of this working group will be completed and made available to the commissioner in the near future.
