106 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the distribution breakdown of lottery funding between the various Government departments for the latest full year available. [21177/00]

While responsibility for the distribution of lottery funding rests with the Ministers of the various Government Departments, I have overall responsibility for the national lottery.

The figures below represent the estimated national lottery allocations to Government Departments for 1999.

Department of Finance, £5 million; Department of Environment and Local Government, £7.093 million; Department of Education and Science, £26.759 million; Department of Health and Children, £9.169 million; Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, £2.500 million; Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation, £30.877 million; Department of Defence, £360,000; Department of Social, Family and Community Affairs, £21.074 million; Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, £18.002 million; Total, £120,834 million.
