152 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will review the terms of circular HES 2/99 to allow the application of the 90% level of grant to apply to all construction which was completed after 1 December 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The terms and conditions of the disabled persons grant scheme were improved in December 1999 when the effective maximum grant was increased to £14,000 with the grant now covering up to 90 per cent of the approved cost of the works. The improved terms and conditions of the scheme apply where works commenced on or after 1 December 1999.
I have no plans to revise the terms and conditions of the scheme as they applied to works commenced before 1 December 1999 but completed after that date.
