There are no specific national guidelines relating to resuscitation. Practices and procedures in this area are a matter for the relevant professional bodies and agencies concerned.
Standard operating procedures relating to basic life support have been developed by a sub-committee of the National Ambulance Advisory Council and are currently under consideration by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council.
