43 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Finance if the committee to review the treatment of work related expenses and benefits for workers, prom ised in the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness, has yet been established; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23464/00]

The review of the tax treatment of work-related expenses and benefits, which was envisaged in the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness, has been completed. I will have regard to the considerations of the review group in the context of drawing up budget 2001.
