194 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Health and Children the date of the next meeting of the medical manpower forum; the number of bilateral meetings since 24 February 2000; the nature of the outstanding issues unresolved; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24528/00]
I expect that the final meeting of the medical manpower forum will be convened before the end of November. With a view to reaching early agreement on the report of the forum, based on consensus, I do not think it would be useful or appropriate to comment on the nature of the issues outstanding at this stage. The matters outstanding have been the subject of ongoing discussions during the period since February 2000. This has involved both formal and informal meetings and discussions on the margins of other meetings.
