Membership of Committees: Motion. - Double Taxation Relief: Motion.

Minister for Defence (Mr. M. Smith):

I move:

That, notwithstanding the Orders of Reference of the Select Committee on Finance and the Public Service, the proposal that Dáil Éireann approve the following Orders in draft:–

(i) Double Taxation Relief (Taxes on Income and Capital Gains) (Republic of Bulgaria) Order, 2000,

(ii) Double Taxation Relief (Taxes on Income and Capital Gains) (People's Republic of China) Order, 2000,

copies of which were laid before Dáil Éireann on 2 November, 2000, be referred to the Select Committee on Finance and the Public Service, which shall, not later than 9 November, 2000, send a message to the Dáil in the manner prescribed in Standing Order 79B, and Standing Order 79A(2) shall accordingly apply."
