399 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Finance if, in relation to the ownership rights and legal position with regard to the Great Heath of Maryborough, he is in a position to make a detailed statement of clarification regarding the legal position on the ownership of these lands; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Commissioners of Public Works are awaiting counsel's advice, which they have sought through the Chief State Solicitor's office, in relation to the precise nature of the State's title to the Great Heath. It is not possible to make a more comprehensive statement on the matter until this advice is received and fully considered.
