291 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the Government's position to be outlined at the forthcoming Globe United Nations conference on greenhouse gas emissions at The Hague, Holland in November 2000. [24958/00]

The Government will not be represented at the Globe Conference, which I understand will be held as a side event to the Sixth Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in The Hague later this month.
