213 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the proposals he has to approve the building of the new fire station in Wexford town which is urgently required; and the discussions his Department has had to date with Wexford County Council. [26044/00]
Approval in principle issued to Wexford County Council on 4 June 1997 for the provision of a new fire station in Wexford town. The next step in the development of the project is for the council to submit detailed design and cost plans to my Department for approval. I understand that the council is currently examining sites for the project.
