273 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason his Department are continuing to delay the building of the new vocational school at Kilmuckridge, Gorey, County Wexford by seeking further particulars on an ongoing basis, which should have been sought from the commencement of the project at planning stage; and if he will order the go ahead to tender stage. The proposed extension to Kilmuckridge Vocational School, County Wexford is progressing through architectural planning.
In October 2000 County Wexford Vocational Education Committee was authorised to instruct its design team to submit additional information in relation to the stage three submission, developed sketch scheme.
A response was received from the vocational educational committee to the comments raised on 3 November 2000 and is currently being assessed within my Department. When the assessment is completed, and if found to be in order, the matter of progressing to the next stage of the planning process will be determined.
