Written Answers. - Prison Committals.
The prisoner referred to is serving two terms of seven years imprisonment for the possession of firearms in suspicious circumstances. He was convicted in the Special Criminal Court on 19 January 1996 and his current remission date is 16 February 2002.
I can confirm that he has recently applied for release under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement. This application is currently under consideration.
