Written Answers. - Garda Recruitment.
Last October, the Government approved the holding of a Garda recruitment competition in 2000 and the recruitment of 500 Garda trainees from that competition. The first stage of the competition, that is, the written test, will be held later this month.
Recruitment requirements are kept under ongoing review in my Department and any proposals for further recruitment will be a matter for consideration by the Government in due course.
