I am satisfied with the position regarding the recruitment of Air Corps pilots. There are a total of 89 pilots in the Air Corps at present including 11 cadets who were commissioned this year. A further 13 are due to be commissioned in the year 2001 and 12 in 2002.
It is proposed to recruit a further 12 cadets for the Air Corps next year.
