62 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of doctors recruited in India and Pakistan as a result of the recent recruitment campaign; when it is expected that these doctors will take up service; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28932/00]

As many as 59 doctors have been offered employment in Ireland and it is expected that vacancies will be filled early in 2001.
