162 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received an application from Mayo County Council to fund a take-over programme by the council of group water schemes in County Mayo (details supplied). [29862/00]
inter alia, the upgrading and taking in charge of private group water schemes. Allocations are determined on the basis of identified needs and the level of ongoing activity within individual local authority areas. The recent submission received from Mayo County Council will be considered in the context of the 2001 allocations, which will be determined early in the new year.
