502 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if he will intervene with the Civil Service Commission on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim and have her appointed to a position in Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2343/01]
The candidate in question was offered, but declined, an assignment as clerical officer to Dublin. The competition at which she competed was for vacancies primarily in the Dublin area and it would not be possible to have her initial assignment made to Sligo. The Civil Service Commission may, however, be willing to offer her a further assignment to Dublin and, if she accepts, she could at a later stage seek a transfer to Sligo.
