Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing.
Local authorities were advised in February 1994 that full central heating should be provided in all new local authority housing. Information is not currently available in my Department in regard to the number of local authority dwellings which do not have this facility.
In early January, my Department issued a questionnaire to local authorities seeking information on a range of housing issues including information on the number of local authority dwellings which have full, partial or no central heating. I will arrange to provide the information to the Deputy when it becomes available.
