Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gay Mitchell – the need for the Minister for Arts Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands to enter into discussions with Dublin Corporation regarding the possible acquisition of the old Roundtree-Mackintosh site in Dublin 8; (2) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin – the need for the Minister to clarify the status of the ewe cull scheme payments to a number of farmers in Kerry; (3) Deputy Creed – the need for a grant scheme to enable the relocation of small industries that are inappropriately located in residential urban settings; (4) Deputy Clune – the need to ensure that the Irish Blood Transfusion Service is not reduced to a single site testing facility; (5) Deputy Connaughton – the need for a community hospital at the now closed Bon Secours Hospital in Tuam, County Galway; (6) Deputy Upton – the need for a substantial increase in funding for the vocational training opportunities scheme; (7) Deputy McManus – the need to consider waiving privilege in respect of documents sought by counsel for the Irish Haemophilia Society at the Lindsay Tribunal; (8) Deputy McGuinness – the urgent need to prepare and fund an action plan for delivery of health services in the south east in view of the critical state of the health infrastructure in Carlow-Kilkenny and (9) Deputy Coveney – the need to invest in Minane Bridge national school and other schools in the Cork area that have been under-resourced.

The matters raised by Deputies Creed, Coveney, McGuinness and McManus have been selected for discussion.
