Vol. 529 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

David Stanton

Ceist:

249 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the fact that cabling for telephones and Internet use in each classroom are not to be made available as part of the new school at Walshestown national school in County Cork; if he will make resources available in this regard; if he will also provide accommodation and furniture for the learning support teacher and sensor lighting; the total cost of the project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3092/01]

I understand that the Deputy is referring to Walterstown national school, Cobh, County Cork. Construction is under way at the school and my Department is satisfied that the facilities currently being provided are adequate to meet the needs of the teachers and pupils. A schedule of furniture will be drawn up in due course and the appropriate resources will be provided.
