252 Mr. J. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will pro vide funding for the extra special needs assistants required by Ladyswell national school to cater for children suffering from attention deficit hyperactive disorder. [3095/01]
My Department allocated three special needs assistant posts to the school in question in December 2000. I have asked my Department's inspectorate to investigate the needs of the school for further support. As soon as the inspector's report has been received and considered, my Department will be in touch with the school authorities.
