156 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his Department can confirm that the registered names on a folio are those of persons (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will indicate the name of the previous registered owner. [3283/01]
The persons mentioned by the Deputy are the registered owners of the folio in question. In relation to information about the previous registered owner, I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the information requested by the Deputy is available as a service to the general public at the Land Registry public counter for a fee of £2. The details requested are a matter of public record and any person may inspect any folio in the Land Registry on payment of the £2 inspection fee. I am further informed by the Land Registry that a search by telephone is also possible.
