Ceist:86 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when it is proposed to commence the building of the new Garda station in Kilmacthomas, County Waterford; and the number of gardaí it will cater for. [1903/01]

I have been informed by the Office of Public Works that work on the new Garda station at Kilmacthomas is expected to commence in mid-2001. I have also been informed by the Garda authorities that the number of Garda personnel to be assigned to the new station is under consideration.
