303 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 1281 of 30 January 2001, he will outline when it is intended to introduce the initiative mentioned in the reply; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3987/01]

Parliamentary Question No. 1281 referred to the Back to Education Initiative set out in the White Paper on Adult Education "Learning for Life". It is proposed to introduce the initiative by the end of the current calendar year.
