Vol. 530 No. 6

Written Answers. - Disabled Drivers' Scheme.

John McGuinness

Ceist:

176 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Finance the reasons an appointment for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny to attend the medical appeals board was not notified to him in time; and if another appointment can be made in the near future and without undue delay. [4864/01]

It is assumed the Deputy is referring to the disabled drivers medical board of appeal. As previously stated, my Department has no involvement in the operation of this board. The Revenue Commissioners have no such involvement either. However, I am informed that Revenue contacted the board concerning the person in question and I understand that the appointment to which the Deputy refers was not made by the disabled drivers medical board of appeal.

Question No. 177 answered orally with Question No. 40.
