Ceist:

223 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of private nursing homes in County Wicklow; the names and locations of these homes; the total number of beds in this regard; the number of beds contracted to the health board; and the number of beds provided by welfare homes for the elderly in County Wicklow. The provision of health services in the Wicklow area is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. I have asked the chief executive of the authority to examine this case and respond to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
