341 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the capital projects funded by her Department that commenced in the Waterford constituency in 2000; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4834/01]
The following capital projects funded by my Department commenced in the Waterford consitutency in 2000: the barracks building located within the walls of Dungarvan Castle was restored and refurbished for use as a visitor centre; and an exhibition was installed in Reginald's Tower, Waterford City. Under improvement schemes in the Gaeltacht the following projects were commenced and carried out in 2000: improvement works to the value of £14,900 on accommodation roads and village renewal projects in the Gaeltacht area of Waterford; improvement works to the value of £9,000 were carried out on Helvic Pier; improvement works to the value of £90,000 were completed on Halla na Rinne; and improvement works to the value of £14,000 were carried out on Páirc Peile na Rinne.
