79 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Defence the number of non-established civil servants employed by him in his office; the number within his Department; the salary scale, conditions, terms of employment and function in each case; the names of the persons or firms so employed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is assumed that the Deputy's inquiry relates to non-civil service staff attached to ministerial offices in the Department. The following staff have been engaged:

All three appointments, which are subject to the Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 to 1996, and any other Act for the time being in force relative to the Civil Service, are to temporary non-established positions in the Civil Service.
