175 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the capital projects funded by his Department which commenced in the south Kerry constituency in 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5853/01]
My Department approved a total of 56 capital projects in south Kerry in 2000. These projects involve potential grant-aid of approximately £404,000 under the national scheme of investment aid for the control of farm pollution and national investment aid for the improvement of dairy hygiene standards.
The Leader II programme was administered in south Kerry by South Kerry Partnership Limited which funded eight projects in respect of buildings and 12 projects in respect of equipment in their area in 2000. The grant-aid involved was £138,921 in respect of the buildings and £137,554 in respect of the equipment.
