Vol. 531 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tax Rebates.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

190 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Finance when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 will be paid a tax refund; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5592/01]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes is unable to determine whether the taxpayer is due a refund of tax. The inspector understands that the company referred to by the Deputy in the details supplied has ceased trading and it has not been possible to obtain a P45 for the taxpayer. The inspector has written to the taxpayer to try to clarify who the taxpayer's employer was during the period June to December 1999. If the taxpayer can provide further information on that particular issue, the inspector will make every attempt to process his repayment claim.
