253 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received a letter from persons (details supplied) in County Dublin concerning health support for a three and a half year old autistic child; the answer he has given and the provision that is to be made for this child. [5896/01]
I have received correspondence from the parents of the child in question concerning the provision of health related support services. As responsibility for the provision of such services is a matter in the first instance for the Eastern Regional Health Authority, a copy of their letter to me has been referred to the authority for their attention. I am awaiting a response from the authority and will be in touch with the parents as soon as this has been received.
