Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Ceist:

308 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if he will take steps to ensure that a fair and equitable severance agreement can be reached with a person (details supplied). [5599/01]

Frances Fitzgerald

Ceist:

315 Ms Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the name of Deputies or Senators who made written or oral representations to him regarding the deployment or redeployment of persons (details supplied). [5789/01]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 308 and 315 together.

The person referred to by the Deputy is a serving employee of my Department and not a former official, as described by the Deputy in the details presented. The employee concerned has been absent from work for some time due to illness and it is expected that she will return to work when she is in a position to do so from a health point of view. There is no provision for the grant of severance arrangements to employees who resign from the Civil Service.

My Department has no record of representations being made by any Deputy or Senator in relation to the deployment or redeployment of the persons named by the Deputy.
