262 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 68 and 94 of 5 December 2000, he will give the position on the upgrading of the Border inspection posts. [8272/01]
Discussions with the relevant port and airport authorities are ongoing. In particular, with regard to Shannon Airport the provision of facilities by the airport authorities has been agreed and approved by the Food and Veterinary Office. At Dublin Port, the Department is in discussions with the port authorities, the Office of Public Works and private firms with a view to providing the appropriate facilities.
