Ceist:

138 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the amount of aid by way of grant, loan or otherwise, that is available to a person who is undertaking a pilot's course; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9573/01]

Minister for Public Enterprise (Mrs. O'Rourke):

I am not aware of any scheme funded by the State to assist those wishing to undertake a pilot training course. Neither my Department nor any of the agencies under its aegis has funds at its disposal for this purpose.
