Ceist:268 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans he has to appoint new members to the Women's Health Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9863/01]

The Women's Health Council consists of 23 members representing a broad range of interests. Six new members were appointed to the council last year, including a new chairperson, and their term of office will expire in June 2003, with one member's term expiring in June 2002. The terms of office of 13 members of the council are due to expire in June 2002.
