308 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding an application by Waterford City Council for an extension of the city boundary into south Kilkenny; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9681/01]
My Department has had no communication from Waterford Cor poration concerning a proposed boundary extension, although I understand that moves are under way locally to begin the formulation of a formal boundary proposal. As no application to alter the administrative boundary of Waterford Corporation has been submitted to my Department, I have no role in the matter at present.
