401 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the amount which has been spent to date on planning, preparation and advertising relating to the proposed Sports Campus Ireland, Abbotstown, Dublin 15. [9570/01]
Up to 31 December 2000 £2,878,151 had been expended through the Vote of the Department of the Taoiseach in respect of the cost of planning and preparation of the Sports Campus Ireland project. Responsibility for the project was transferred to my Department with effect from 1 January 2001. Provision in my Department's Vote for expenditure on the project this year is £32 million comprising £30 million and £2 million for capital and current expenditure respectively.
